So, here we are driving down the road to work as we do many times and after a while, I notice that so many people have headlights on but no tail lights.
So that is where I will pick up on and you can ask like I am asking, when did we get so lazy? What changed??
When Did We Get So Lazy?
So, What I came up with is this; With these newer vehicles out on the market, normally have the day time driving headlights.
But, as for what reason people have not clued into is that at night you still need to turn on your lights.
Now, I have no clue why the auto makers would put this into place where you would have to manually turn on your light switch to activate your tail lights as well. Who would have thought.
This is where I come to my post name “When did we get so lazy? What changed??”.
When did we get to the point of us having to actually do what many have for years before, turning on their light switch?
My vehicle thankfully does not have these in it, my truck is old school.
But as for all these newer vehicles, I guess the dealerships forgot to mention this fact.
So there, that is a good enough place to start with but can you follow what I am laying down here?
Seriously though, what changed us to where most feel they want an automated world? That makes people lazy and complacent.
Who would want a place where everyone is lazy and has computers do all their work?
Now I am not talking “Terminator” here but it is getting closer and closer to us for every new thing that takes automation.
Here, this will knock your socks off if you were thinking towards The Terminator movie… Can you believe the NSA actually has a program named SKYNET.
This one is used for good but probably could be used for others as well but I just thought I would share that.
Seriously, look around and ask yourself what changed to where we need so much automation? I can still turn a switch to make something happen instead of waiting for a computer to do it.
I could go on and on with this subject but I think you see my point.
When did we get so lazy? What changed??
I have even heard of one that is so far fetched but then again is it?
I’m talking about the ones who rule the world, wanting people to become lackadaisical in their everyday lives so others can come into your towns, cities and homes taking or searching for whatever you own without any resistance.
Or maybe it is just because people are getting more and more lazy and want everything done for them.
Heck, even out here in the Internet Marketing world, some fall for easy push button make a million bucks overnight software scam that is nonstop online and am sure people still lose a lot to almost nothing.
You see, people want automation.
Here is a thought of my own about laziness. Take your average food store nowadays.
We have all been through the automated check out lines right? Well there is an answer for two things they can save on and that would be,
- No need for employees hence no need to pay this new raised minimum wage.
- Make their money back on those machines quickly which may only need basic maintenance from time to time.
And why not? People will continue to let it happen.
And for all these people who want to bitch about a minimum wage increase not happening where they are well, don’t look for jobs that you will one day be replaced by a computer!
Think about this for a second
Imagine this… A world run by automation to the point where no one will remember how to fix or even turn off that automation, what then?
What happens when something catastrophic happens and we have no more automation? What then??
As for me being one of those conspiracy nuts out here I like to think more along the lines of the movie Wall*E. If you have not seen it, I would have to say check it out. It pretty much nails it on the head of what our future is looking more and more like each and every day.
Here is my thoughts on this and this might boggle some of you and some of you might be right there with me on this one but, here is my doomsday scenario…
When people think about the Apocalypse most think about us killing each other with nukes but that is not how I envision this to go down.
- Mother Nature is going to take back her planet and there is nothing we can do to stop it. (Ice age, planet getting hotter or cooler, ect ect.)
- From space. (Asteroid, massive CME(Coronal Mass Ejection), massive blast of radiation from outside our system, ect ect.) Go to Suspicious 0bservers for more information on what types of space weather can and does effect Earth.
- Letting automation get to far out where we don’t remember how to turn it off or on.
Think about this for a second… If something were to happen to our Electricity nationwide one day and only for let’s say for 48 hours.
Have you ever thought of how your world would be without electricity for 2 whole days?? Let’s list what might not work any longer…
- Power to your house, office, grocery store, gas station, fire station, airport and everything you probably didn’t think of until it’s gone.
- Water and plumbing plants as well as sewage plants.
- Hospitals and other institutions like jails or psychiatric wards
- Street lights or other warning devices
You see? The list goes on and on… And why is this bad? Because most of this is automated as well.
So, where am I going with all this that started with me getting pissy with people who don’t turn on their lights at night and let their vehicle do the work for them and still get it wrong?
Somethings need to stay the way they were, no more automation and especially for those that just don’t have any common sense…They need old school manual to keep their brains working!
I would love to hear feedback from this post, I think it would be a very in depth conversation…
Thanks for reading “When did we get so lazy? What changed??”
Now go out and get some fresh air and go fishing!
