Last night I wrote a blog post about SEO titled, “Seo or not to SEO-that is the question“. Now in that post I may have come off wrong as sometimes I do so let me rephrase that…
SEO is a part of blogging, it goes hand in hand with good content, it has to.
You just can’t have one without the other.
Let me rephrase that
I say that because, in my head after reading it a few times to see if I had all my ducks in a row, I might have come off wrong. At least I think I did. To me that is huge, a big red warning flag!
Now, as stated last night… I have only been blogging for a short amount of time but I like to push the boundaries sometimes and it either goes good for me or it will backfire. This is how I learn.
You have to break a few eggs to learn how to crack them correctly before advancing onto your next task, right? Well, the same applies to blogging. Sure, the writing part is easy. Just spit out what you have to say but at the same time you have to make some sense in it all.
I sometimes don’t.
This is the part of learning something new in my eyes. You have to fall flat on your face every so often to make sure you don’t go that way again, learn from your mistakes.
After reading a few posts from others in the field I am trying to pry my little twisted thoughts into, I read what others post and try to make sense through what I say as well as others. Did that make any sense? Ya, I lost myself in that as well. LOL!
What I am trying to convey is this… I Don’t have all the answers, I am learning from whom I think is the best to learn from and some of his students have different ways of applying his knowledge as well. But as I see it, sometimes more than one answer is correct.
Sure there is always that one answer that does it all but, nowadays can be a bit different when it come to an online presence. What works for some, may not work for others. You see what I am getting at right? You and I may have different answers to the question but it does not mean that one is better than the other, it is just a different way of looking at things.
Last nights post might have come off as me saying that SEO is more important than good content, that was not my intent. What I was trying to say was this…
You always need good content, period. But good SEO is also important.
I was not saying that you need to try to jump on the top ten pages of Google quick to be seen because without good content, it will not stay there long and Google will kill your pages quick if it thinks you are trying to gain web presence by SEO alone.
So you see, I had to rephrase what I blogged about last night, it was the right thing to do, the responsible thing.
Where are you going with all of this?
I have decided to become an SEO. I have tried the hobby blogging and that is not working out so well even though that is a big passion of mine but, SEO is one of those things that intrigues me even more.
I have the content part down as far as I can tell. I write better than I talk, better that I even think. Some will tell you that I speak the truth on that. I was told to write like I talk but in truth I type better than I talk, better than I think sometimes. Notice I repeated myself, yeah… me too. (I laugh at myself)
My goal online now is to learn all about SEO and blogging and even thinking of leaving the whole affiliate part of my online experience alone. Let’s face it, I know for a fact that I can’t sell a life preserver to a drowning man. Hell, I can’t even give away a hamburger to a starving man!
So, seeing how I have learned that that part of my online experience is a bust, I don’t cave…Never give up attitude! Instead going to give my all into how to become a better webmaster than an online salesman.
I just keep looking at all these new emails and ads that say…”This is what the guru’s aren’t telling you”. To be super honest, I see it as just another way of the same old tactics just put differently while still selling the same old crap while sitting on their Lamborghini in front of their mansion ( which are rented by the way ).
Bottom line is this…
Bottom line is this… SEO specialist, here I come! Snake oil salesman, bye bye!
If I am going to make it online it is going to be with an honest way of doing things and help people get seen online with great content and good SEO.
Yes, David… You heard me right… Great content first, SEO in a close second! But you have to agree both should go hand in hand as to get good results as far as giving the right answers to the query and having it there so you don’t have to dig far for it.
I normally do not write my friend’s name into my posts any longer. Not because I don’t want his name in here but I am trying to establish a name for myself and will always give kudos to him forever for helping me learn the trade. Thanks David 🙂
Well, that is all I have for this post and am glad you gave me the chance to let me rephrase that in which I posted last night.
Keep an eye out for more blogs from me. I have the fever for it now! And for no reason do I want to quit!!
